I askes that question because I was yesterday in our local petshop. There was sold some kind of salamander with yellow spots on top of it and its belly was orange. It was sold as a firebelly salamander.
I was wondering what kind of salamander it was. Its looks a lot like your pictures.

if the price was high, then it surely was one of those if not I could be some others? A species that looks a little bit like them is Cynops ensicauda popei

saskia in welke winkel heb je dieren gezien? Ist het soms tylototriton shanjing? kun je geen foto maken van het dier in de winkel?
misschien zijn het wel interessante dieren

Hallo Harry,

Ik heb in mijn onwetendheid een aantal maanden geleden 4 vuurbuiksalamanders gekocht a 11 Euro per stuk. Na een tijdje kwam ik er achter dat ik 3 soorten salamaders in mijn aquarium had zitten waaronder onder andere een paramesotriton soort. Nu weet ik waar ik op moet letten dus een tijdje geleden ging ik terug naar de dierenzaak (Sachtleven in Doetinchem) waarbij die mevrouw tegen mij zei dat de salamanders elkaar het aquarium uitvochten. Ik heb toen gezegd dat ik met mijn beginners oog zo al drie soorten bij elkaar zag zitten en dat dat niet kan. Toen gaf zij aan dat ze die soorten onder het zelfde bestelnummer had bestelt. Ik zal voor je vragen of ik een foto mag maken.
